Random thoughts:
The title for this story is also the name of an awesome
song by Jars of Clay. I kept listening to it, hearing different
snippets that fit the story, and so here we are...
This story is the final installment of what I affectionately
call, "Why Richie's Childhood Sucked." If you
would like to read the first two stories, "Scars"
and "Lead You Home," you can find them at: http://eleceng.ukc.ac.uk/~sd5/fiction/
(Thanks again, Sophie, for putting these up at your site!)
This story takes place shortly after the episode "Family
Tree."
Thanks go first to God and Jesus Christ, who continue to
lift me up when I'm falling. (shameless Jars of Clay reference)
Second, I must thank Sandra McDonald, who was invaluable
as my beta reader. Her comments and advice made a huge difference
in this story. (POVs and flashbacks; who needs them, huh
Sandra?) <G>
For all of you who kept asking me what happened with the
Davis family and why Richie hates hospitals, this one's
for you.
